About the Team

Based on FDF's strong support for evidence-based and proportionate legislation,
this division helps shape and maintain a market environment in which UK food
companies can flourish. We also provide a timely and expert service to help
food
companies address emerging issues and react to incidents and emergencies.
The team combines technical and regulatory expertise with a very good
understanding of our members' interests a valuable network with regulators,
NGOs and other
stakeholders in the UK, Europe and globally. In a constantly changing
regulatory
environment, we keep FDF members up to date and ensure that their voice is
heard
by those with the ability to make a difference.
Examples of current interests include the review of the FDF Sustainability
Strategy, implementation of the Food Information Regulation; input in the
Public
Health Responsibility Deal; food additives; hygiene; food contaminants and food
contact materials; novel foods; and the coordination of the requirements of
specialist food sectors (groups and associations).
